Crinu ANDANUT, CEO of ALLIANZ-TIRIAC Private Pensions, is the new President of the Association for Privately Managed Pensions of Romania (APAPR), the professional organization representing the local private pension industry. Thus, ANDANUT replaces Bram BOON, former interim President of APAPR, who shall leave his position at ING Life Insurance to run the insurance operations of ING Greece.
Crinu ANDANUT was elected president of APAPR with 12 votes for, 4 against and one abstention. APAPR has 17 members now - namely the large majority of pension companies on the market and depository banks for the private pension funds and shall soon expand, as membership continues to grow. Radu Vasilescu, CEO of ING Pension Fund, is the new Vice-president of APAPR, and the five-member board also includes AIG Pension Fund, AVIVA Pensions and RAIFFEISEN Asset Management.
The APAPR elections were held today, the 22nd of May, at the headquarters of ING Life Insurance from Bucharest. According to the Association’s statute, APAPR can only receive the companies administrating private pension funds (mandatory and voluntary) and depository banks for the pension funds (mandatory and voluntary). The voting power of the Association is given by the number of licenses (authorizations) issued to each entity by the Private Pension Supervisory Commission (CSSPP).
