GENERALI Pension Fund: We shall manage EUR 25-30 million worth of assets by the end of the year
Generali Pension Fund plans to manage a EUR 25-30 million worth of assets in its mandatory private pension fund (pillar II) by the end of this year. This represents 10% of the EUR 250-300 million, namely the net assets for 2008 on the entire market, stated today Anne-Marie MANCAS, investment director of GENERALI Pension Fund, at a conference celebrating GENERALI’s 15 years of uninterrupted business in Romania.
“Based on the estimates after the first contribution transfer to CNPAS, at the end of the year, we can expect a EUR 250-300 million worth of assets on the entire market. We plan to reach a 10% market share for these assets, in line with the number of participants, namely to manage approximately EUR 25-30 million", said Anne-Marie MANCAS.
After the first contribution round, GENERALI received EUR 1.92 million from CNPAS, meaning 8% of the market, being one of the companies to lose market share (compared to the ranking by number of participants). According to the number of participants, GENERALI Pension Fund has a 9.4% market share, while after the first round of contributions the company’s market share in terms of assets is 8%.
Ioan VREME, CEO of GENERALI Pension Fund stated he expects the situation of empty accounts and collection rate on the mandatory pension market to improve significantly in the near future, both on the market and in the company he runs.
