Second collection brings EUR 28.2 million and 877,000 empty accounts to mandatory pension funds


The second contribution collection round for mandatory pension funds (2nd pillar) brought an improvement in on the market situation, raising contribution volume and reducing the number of empty accounts.

The total sums poured into the system was EUR 28.2 million, 17% more than at the first contribution round, and the number of empty accounts was reduced to 876,716, 8.75% less than at the first round.

Out of the total 4,161,051 participants to the 14 funds, only 3,283,980 received contributions, 2.8% more than at the first contribution round. Moreover, the number of empty accounts fell from 961,355 (at the first round) to 876,716 (second round).
